San Francisco
When I left Sacramento this morning, it was 80 degrees and the sky was clear. Then suddenly on route 80, a massive gray cloud came out of nowhere, dropping the temperature 30 degrees within minutes and keeping the sun hidden for the rest of the day. So the skies were gloomy when I got to San Francisco and checked into the motel, but the city was anything but. The Blue Angels are in the area practicing for a big show soon, so every few minutes they would fly overhead in very close formation and make a deafening sonic wave. I tried to capture them on camera, but couldn't; it was impossible to guage their location or heading until they were gone. Then they must have landed or left the area because I stood in a big courtyard for a while waiting for them to come back but they never did.
After some errands, pizza and "pumpkin spice" coffee (very delicious) at Peet's, I got on the BART subway system and headed to the airport, where I currently sit awaiting Tristyn's arrival. The BART is clean and fast, but I'm not sure how the pricing works yet; I just got a $10 ticket and got on.
I'll be in San Francisco with Tristyn for the next few days, so if I don't post here for a while, you'll know where I am.
